1. Who We Are
Puzzle Enterprise is a web design and development agency. This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit puzzle-enterprise.com or contact us. If you have any questions about it, write to us at info@puzzle-enterprise.com.
Depending on where you live, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies to this processing.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, your email address, the type of project you choose, your website address (if you enter it) and your message.
When you request a free audit, we collect your website address, your name and your email address.
When you visit the website, our server and our content delivery network automatically process technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. We need this to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. We do not use it to identify you.
We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising tools.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information you submit to:
- reply to your inquiry or project request
- send you a confirmation that we received your message
- prepare and deliver your free website audit
- communicate with you about your project
We process this data to answer your request and to take steps before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Server logs and spam protection are based on our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell, trade or rent it to anyone.
4. Where Your Data Is Stored
Form submissions are emailed to us and also stored in our website’s database, so no inquiry gets lost if an email does not arrive. Our website runs on our own server, hosted by Hostinger in Frankfurt, Germany. Our email is hosted by Zoho Mail in its EU data centers.
5. Cookies
Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. On the contact and free audit pages only, Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies it needs to tell people from spam bots (see section 6).
6. Third-Party Services
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA): all requests to our website pass through Cloudflare’s network, which delivers the pages quickly and blocks attacks. Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical data listed above. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, USA): on the contact and free audit pages, reCAPTCHA checks whether a form is sent by a person or a bot. It processes your IP address, browser data and how you interact with the page. reCAPTCHA is not loaded on our other pages. Google privacy policy
- Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.): hosting of our web server in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation, EU data centers): our email provider. Messages from our forms and emails you send us are stored there.
Cloudflare and Google may process data in the United States. These transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its Swiss extension) or on standard contractual clauses.
Fonts and icons are loaded from our own server: your browser does not connect to Google Fonts when you visit our website.
7. Data Retention
We keep your contact details and messages only as long as we need them to answer your inquiry, carry out a project or meet legal record-keeping obligations. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period. If you would like your data removed earlier, email us at info@puzzle-enterprise.com and we will delete it within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted or its processing restricted
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority

9. Data Security
All data sent through our website is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Our server, website software and plugins are kept up to date and monitored. We do not process payment information of any kind.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website or services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
